Michelle Dahl is married with three grown children. She and her husband, Greg, have six grandchildren, ranging in age eighteen down to three. She is also a retired elementary school teacher. Writing and art were two of her favorite subjects to teach. It was inevitable they were to be her passion to pursue in retirement. Her debut book, A Walk With Grandpere: A Mickey Memory Story (2017), began as a teaching tool for modeling personal narrative writing to her intermediate age students. She has now expanded that smaller book into a chapter book version for older children entitled A Walk With Grandpere: Mickey’s Souvenirs (2025).
